Nteu Agreement 2019

Earlier this month, the union sent reporters a letter from lawmakers asking Democratic House leaders to include a provision that would deprive the implementation of agency collective agreements that were not agreed by the parties in final spending laws for fiscal year 2020. Like the EPA, other agencies in the Trump administration have imposed union protest contracts. The proposed settlement includes uns negotiated employees, such as executives, senior executives and Schedule C policy agents. EPO employees who are covered by union collective agreements, however, must comply with these agreements, including telework. In a joint statement with E-E News, Reardon said that the EPO and the NTEU were “in the initial phase of negotiating a new contract” and that the union would “insist on good faith negotiations” for “a collective agreement agreed upon.” Under the new AFGE agreement, which came into force on October 27, any SSA Assistant Commissioner can decide whether staff currently employed in the telework field can continue to work. However, Mr. Oliver stated that senior management at the EPO wanted to reduce telework and, if not, limit the flexibility of employees` working hours. She noted that the union`s collective agreement, which represents about 40 EPA employees in the Gulf Ecology Division in Gulf Breeze, Fla., had been in effect for three decades. The EPA has already proposed a new collective agreement for the union. It is similar to the contract that was imposed on AFGE, including a provision requiring employees to report to the site four days a week. Mark Sims, the union`s president, said he felt the offer was “a slap in the face.” Article 35 – Offices – We can negotiate space actions that are not covered by the terms of the contract. However, the article was negotiated with the intention of reducing the need for costly and repetitive negotiations on any change of office.

It was a very difficult article that could be agreed upon. You insisted that we give up our bargaining rights. The agency kept telling us that AFGE had given it up, so we had to do it as well. We resisted and we finally won on this point. The sharing of office and the hotel industry will be the future. We expect office space problems if the Agency decides to reduce the number of telework employees. Washington D.C. – Today marked a historic new beginning for employees of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, when the Agency and the National Treasury Employees Union signed the first collective agreement between the two organizations.
